In a comment to a recent post on RedState, “malvernpa” left the insightful comment below. I’ve divided it into several additional paragraphs, for the sake of readability, but otherwise have left it unedited.
From Winston Churchill: “Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning”.
This is no time to get tired. This election is different because Obama is by any measure a Marxist. History will record that the enemy was no longer at the gates the enemy was in the White House. He was cutting deals with the Russians. He was looking the other way with radical Islam.
His government first solutions are crushing the economy. His energy policy is ridiculous, recklessly tossing about millions of dollars of tax money to companies that are not ready for prime time and worst of all seeing a million dollars as not that much money when lost. If he ever tried to earn a million dollars he would have a different appreciation for how hard it is to do that.
He will leave behind a government infested with Marxist minded bureaucrats that will probably have those jobs till attrition removes them. No, there can be no rest from the work of purging these people from power in America.
The democrats (liberals, progressive, socialist, communist, Marxist, Maoists they are all the same in the current democrat party) have left constitution hall. Their mission has been to make the constitution a living document so that they can kill it, burn that image into your mind. The Democrats cannot be rehabilitated from their big government ways.
There is no time to rest, the left will not rest. If you are too tired then hand your pen and your flag to someone younger and fall, but to rest is to drown in a sea of bureaucrats and watch the once great nation of America float away and sink.
If Obama wins we will need to pick up our weapons of free speech and carry on fighting the Democrats starting Wednesday. The real question is can the Republicans be rehabilitated from their big government ways. If Romney wins we will need to pick up our weapons of free speech to fight the Rino’s on Wednesday.
